ASP's Guide to Making Your Event Website Liked by Google
As they say, the best things in life are free and that very much applies to Google’s Search Console.
A free dashboard provided by Google, Google Search Console allows you to see how your website is performing in Google search, as well as seeing any issues and errors seen by Google.
Adding your website to Search Console is extremely important for any website that is serious in performing well in Google. And guess what? It’s super easy to do.
Just follow ASP’s two-step guide below!
Step One Add your website to Google Search Console

Step Two Add your websites xml sitemap to Google Search Console

Your xml sitemap address is: [YOUR FULL DOMAIN NAME]/sitemap.xml

Submit your sitemap to Google Search Console

Sign into Google Search Console.

In the sidebar, select your website.

Google Search Console Select Property

Click on ‘Sitemaps’.

The ‘Sitemaps’ menu is under the ‘Index’ section. If you do not see ‘Sitemaps’, click on ‘Index’ to expand the section.

Remove outdated or invalid sitemaps (if any) like sitemap.xml

Enter ‘sitemap_index.xml’ in the ‘Add a new sitemap’ field to complete the sitemap URL.

Note: A domain property will not show the domain for the field. Please use the full sitemap URL.Google Search Console Add New Sitemap

Click Submit.
And that’s it - Nice and simple, right?
